This Position reports to: Industrial Sales Manager UK&IE - Instrum.
Responsibilities
- Work model: #Remote.
- Expanding existing business by investigating new and existing market potential to ensure long term and sustainable revenue growth.
- Development & regular update of sales and marketing strategy for target area & sector, target products and target customers.
- Proactively developing relationships with clients, ensuring regular face to face contact through meetings, visits to ABB premises and presentations.
- Supporting and liaising with the UK Product Managers to deliver insight on new innovations and training in existing technologies to increase the ABB client commercial offering.
- Liaising with the proposals team to ensure quotations & supporting material relative to the activity are produced in a timely & customer focused manner.
- Forecasting and reporting sales activity for assigned area, analyse variances to budget and identify SMART actions to remedy any shortfall.
- Taking personal responsibility for following the ABB code of conduct; acting with integrity at all times, and ensuring that health and safety is never compromised under any circumstance.
Qualifications
- You have experience in working in instrumentation, or in sales of industrial products.
- You have a Degree/HND/HNC in Instrumentation, Engineering or a technology-based subject.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can easily gain the confidence and trust of clients.
- You are a results orientated person with experience of remote working.
- You have the ability to prioritise own work and meet deadlines.
- You are curious and have good questioning and listening skills.
- You are methodical and able to work to professionally, respecting compliance and health and safety at all times.
- You are at ease sharing your knowledge, experience and opinions in a team, and presentation environment.
