This role is primarily based around the South West. This role is working on hybrid basis with considerable travel expected.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Director – Channel Sales Executive Team, the Channel Account Executive (Country) will be a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about security solutions and is highly customer-focused and efficient. The successful candidate will focus their energies on creating demand with the End User community.
As a Channel Sales Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Generating new business, including cold calling prospective accounts, developing leads, and progressing new projects/clients.
- Promoting and marketing Motorola Solutions Inc. Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) products and services within the assigned territory. Negotiation and closing of sales are handled by Motorola Solutions head office.
- Supporting sales activities by creating, nurturing, and responding to opportunities with End Users.
- Working closely with Channel Account Managers, Distribution Channel Managers, Sales Engineers, and Inside Sales Managers to close new opportunities.
- Supporting the leadership team in establishing sales objectives for the territory.
- Conducting sales calls, scheduling promotional work, and tracking sales activities using Motorola Solutions software.
- Providing pricing, terms of sales, and delivery information to prospective customers.
- Offering technical guidance and product training to end users.
- Supervising installations at end user sites to ensure proper commissioning and customer satisfaction.
- Attending trade shows and marketing events.
- Developing training materials and providing feedback on product improvements.
- Maintaining knowledge of competitors' offerings and pricing.
- Identifying key market influencers and demonstrating the superiority of our solutions.
Basic Requirements:
- Drive and passion for lead generation and new business development.
- Experience in video security solutions sales.
- Customer-interfacing experience, preferably with end users.
- Experience with physical security solutions is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of our products and solutions.
- Ability to forecast revenue accurately.
- Proven sales achievement and relationship-building skills.
- Understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy.
- Hunter mentality with motivation for creating new customers and sales.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to develop a sales funnel through prospecting.
