Field Sales Executive – Northern England & Scotland (Field Based in Northeast or Northwest UK with sporadic travel to Swindon HQ)

Up to £25,000 Per Annum Basic Salary (OTE £40,000 - £55,000 P.A.)

Established in 2009, founded by over 30 years of industry experience Alsco Ltd specialise in the distribution of adhesives, sealants, lubricants, cleaners/de-greasers and applicators guns for a wide range of manufacturing industries and sub distributors.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director you’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing existing customers across Northern England and Scotland (c. 60 accounts)
  • Daily and weekly new business sales activity across the region via phone, email and in person visits to drive sales
  • Identify new business opportunities across markets within the territory for existing & new product ranges
  • Developing new potential customer opportunities via phone, email and in person visits including product demonstrations where necessary
  • Providing technical advice, guidance and solutions to new and prospective customers across our ranges
  • Weekly site visits with current and prospective customers to maintain positive trading relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Qualify prospective customer needs to build sales pipeline from prospect to converting to new customer
  • Providing pricing and supply information maintaining company margin and profitability targets
  • Supporting Alsco teams with any customer escalations or technical requests as required
  • Liaising with key suppliers for samples, pricing, and product information

Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Experience in an internal sales / sales capacity in a customer facing technical/manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Commercial mindset, with a sound understanding of calculating mark up, margin and profit
  • Results driven, target oriented mindset with a relentless drive to deliver new business
  • Credible engaging communicator and a confident negotiator to gain new business and leverage current customers and relationships to maintain and build sales
  • A self-starter, able to manage their own time and proactively pursue opportunities and market gaps to drive forward commercial growth
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills specifically in Excel

A full clean UK Driving License is mandatory for the position and full right to work in the UK
