Are you an experienced sales leader with a passion for driving growth within the manufacturing sector? Our client, a well-established and profitable manufacturing business, is seeking a Head of Sales to lead their high-performing commercial team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will spearhead business development initiatives, manage key accounts, and nurture a sales team to deliver outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the sales team, offering coaching and strategic guidance
- Manage and grow relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships
- Drive new business acquisition in key sectors aligned with company strategy
- Oversee the sales pipeline, budget setting, and performance monitoring against KPIs
- Provide tailored quotations and negotiate pricing to maximize profitability
- Attend industry exhibitions and customer sites to secure and retain business
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless delivery
- Report regularly on sales performance and contribute to senior leadership discussions
- Deliver continuous improvement in sales margins and business growth
What You'll Bring:
- 3-5+ years' experience in sales leadership, business development, or account management, ideally within manufacturing or a fast-growing SME
- Proven track record of winning new business and expanding existing accounts
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
- Commercially astute, strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution
- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
