Ark Recruitment is currently recruiting for an established and respected events agency with a strong reputation for delivering creative, high-impact corporate events, conferences, and experiences. Due to continued success, they’re looking for a talented and commercially driven Head of Sales to lead on new business strategy, build lasting client relationships, and drive high-value growth across the agency’s portfolio.

The Role

As Head of Sales, you’ll be responsible for developing and converting new business opportunities across the events space — working with senior stakeholders and decision-makers to deliver tailored, high-value solutions. You’ll focus on building a sustainable sales pipeline, nurturing prospects through long-term engagement, and leading high-quality pitches and proposals that showcase the agency’s creative and strategic expertise.

This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who loves selling, understands the value of relationships, and thrives on delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within target sectors.
  • Build, maintain, and grow a strong sales pipeline through strategic, relationship-led selling.
  • Develop tailored proposals and pitch presentations to secure new clients.
  • Collaborate with the leadership and marketing teams to align strategies and achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead and deliver compelling virtual and in-person sales pitches.
  • Track performance and report regularly on KPIs, pipeline activity, and revenue.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to shape sales strategy.
  • Suggest new service ideas and innovations to help drive business growth and maintain market relevance.
  • Regular travel to meet with clients, to win new accounts and retain existing business, primarily across the UK and occasionally internationally.

About You

We’re looking for a confident and charismatic sales leader who combines commercial acumen with creativity. You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior sales or business development role, ideally in events, media or experiential marketing.
  • Proven success selling high-value services to senior-level (C-suite) clients.
  • A strong track record of achieving £500k+ annually or equivalent sales targets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, proactive approach.
  • The ability to manage long sales cycles, nurture client relationships, and close complex deals.
  • Natural confidence, professionalism, and integrity in every client interaction.
  • CRM proficiency and strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.

What’s on Offer

  • Up to £65,000 base salary DOE + uncapped commission.
  • Generous and rewarding commission structure. % on all revenue, rising once target achieved.
