About the Company
A fast-growing UK-based SaaS company is seeking a proven sales leader to take the reins of its Inside Sales function.
With a strong foothold in the public sector and a reputation for delivering measurable value to customers, this business is primed for its next stage of commercial growth.
We’re looking for a strategic yet hands-on Head of Sales to develop a high-performing sales team and drive new business acquisition. Leading a team of 10 Business Development professionals across two locations, you will focus on refining sales processes, coaching talent, and instilling a results-oriented team culture while remaining people-first and collaborative in your approach.
The Role
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Inside Sales professionals focused on new business
- Design and implement structured sales strategies with a focus on efficiency, conversion and growth
- Build a performance-led culture grounded in coaching, individual development and accountability
- Use CRM and data to drive decision-making, improve pipeline health and strengthen forecasting accuracy
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to optimise lead flow and customer experience
- Champion cross-sell and upsell strategies within existing accounts to maximise value creation
- Deliver clear reporting and commercial insight to leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Strong sales leadership experience in a B2B SaaS or software-led business
- Demonstrated ability to develop and elevate junior or early-career sales teams
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, transactional sales environments with high volume and short cycles
- A natural coach who can earn respect, energise a team and bring out individual strengths
- Strong command of CRM systems and sales performance metrics
- Experience selling into the public or education sectors is highly desirable
- Must be able to work from the Sheffield office three days per week (hybrid model)
