About the Role
Based at the Warrington site, you will play a key part in managing and developing relationships across an existing client base within the North West. The focus of the role is outbound and inbound telephone-based account management, with occasional support for external visits as required.
You will work with customers in the road surfacing sector, ensuring they receive excellent service while identifying new opportunities within existing accounts. This is a highly supported position offering strong learning, development, and future career progression, particularly into field-based sales roles.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and nurture relationships with existing and lapsed accounts, ensuring long-term engagement.
Understand client business needs, seasonal trends, and project cycles to identify new sales opportunities.
Act as the first point of contact for inbound sales enquiries; follow up with outbound calls as appropriate.
Conduct outbound telesales to maintain strong customer engagement and drive account growth.
Update and maintain the CRM system with accurate client and activity information.
Collaborate with the Sales team on marketing campaigns, sales strategy, and territory growth initiatives.
Support occasional external visits alongside field-based colleagues.
Ideal Candidate
Experience in any sales-related role (internal sales experience advantageous).
OR a commercially minded graduate with 12+ months experience in a business environment (e.g., placement year, internship, or post-graduate role).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
Confident telephone manner and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems is desirable.
