JOB PURPOSE


To act as the primary point of contact between the organisation and our customers. Handle enquiries efficiently, ensure services and deadlines are consistently met, introduce new products and projects, and deliver exceptional customer service at every stage of the client relationship. A candidate with understanding of Fastener/ manufacturing is preferred.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Efficiently handle inbound telephone and email enquiries, ensuring a proactive and customer-focused approach. Providing support and advice to customers via telephone or email.
  • Ambitious and proactive individual with a strong desire for career progression and a commitment to continuous development within the organisation.
  • Confidence in F2F meetings with Key Customers as an important attribute.
  • Demonstrates strong self-management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise, organise, and manage their own workload to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Managing all daily account activities (quoting, supply, queries, logistics etc)
  • Communicate effectively with customers across all channels—both domestic (UK) and international—always ensuring clarity and professionalism
  • Accurately input sales orders and sales order amendments onto the system, maintaining a high standard of accuracy with all information and attention to detail; pricing, delivery, specifications etc.
  • Follow all internal sales procedures with accuracy and consistency to support operational efficiency.
  • Assist in resolving customer account queries quickly and effectively
  • Managing new customer enquiries within your customer base, studying specialised drawings, prepare timely and competitive quotations to meet customer enquiry deadlines.
  • Provide courteous and timely updates to customers regarding order availability and delivery schedules.
  • Set up new part numbers in the system when required for new programs, including uploading relevant documentation (e.g., drawings with correct revision numbers, PPAPs, ISIRs, etc.).
  • Manage customer complaints and problems in a timely and effective manner
  • Serve as the key point of contact between customers and internal departments such as Despatch, Quality, and Warehouse, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Represent the company in meetings with customers and suppliers, demonstrating professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Attend regular Teams meetings with your customer base to discuss new commercial programs. Ensure alignment across all parties- Including customer, supplier, quality and logistics prior to program rollout. To ensure a collaborative and structured approach.
  • Drive to increase the sales through organic growth and new business opportunities with your current and new customer base.
