Job Description:
We have an incredible opportunity for an Area Sales Manager based in London for Majestic Commercial, the on-trade arm of Majestic Wine.

The Role:
The Area Sales Manager will be the key driver in generating new business through Commercial. You will be responsible for retaining and growing our existing clients, identifying new opportunities, and delivering excellent customer service.
Job Specifics:
- Contract Type: 12 Month FTC
- Start Date: Sep TBC
- Location: North & East London (remote)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver against budgets set by the business as part of the overall on-trade budget in conjunction with your Head of Sales
- Build account plans with key customers to deliver your business objectives and ensure strong relationships, improve sales and profitability
- Deliver excellent customer service across your account portfolio
- Work closely with your Head of Sales to ensure regional plans are executed
- Present account updates and future plans at bi-monthly sales team meetings
- Identify, develop, and deliver insight-driven innovation opportunities to drive portfolio and brand growth
- Understand the business, its brands, and value proposition to make strategic decisions
- Work collaboratively with others to achieve clear, quick decisions
- Communicate insights effectively to leverage for better decision-making
- Articulate brand vision, positioning, renovation, and equity development to grow the brand profitably
- Plan and deliver impactful communication and activation at points of purchase
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Experience in winning new business in the On-Trade
- Minimum of 3 years in sales/business development within wine & spirits
- Understanding of On-Trade channels (bars, hotels, restaurants)
- Thorough knowledge of premium Wine & Spirits
- Ability to build brands while delivering commercial results and solving problems
- Strong understanding of customer P&L’s
- Client-centric, results-driven, proactive, creative, reliable, inquisitive
- Self-motivated, confident, outgoing, relationship-builder
- Creative with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills
- Energetic, ambitious, determined to succeed
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Prior sales or marketing experience in the drinks industry
