Major Projects Sales Manager

The Role: As a Major Projects Sales Manager for the UK your role will be to develop specification-led business throughout a small number of specific construction & industrial projects. You will be selling a bespoke system which protects cables & pipes from gas, fire, and water in a variety of applications in these areas and dealing with customer profiles within process & production manufacturing facilities, clean rooms & pharmaceutical premises, data centers, infrastructure projects such as bridges & roads, the rail sector, or power generation businesses. Projects such as HS2, HPC, and the upcoming Heathrow expansion would be examples of Major Projects for this leading manufacturer.

This Major Projects Sales Manager role is dealing with a variety of decision making levels, from applications engineers through to board level, you will research and target these end users to propose new, and protect existing, specifications of the cable sealing and protection solution into predominantly new build projects & retrofit assignments.

The Major Projects Sales Manager will have support from Internal Sales Engineers & SDR's who are market mapping and providing leads from outbound activity, in addition the regional sales team could be providing major leads and projects to you also. You will also be supported from the Marketing Team with monthly target campaigns within your sector. This role is a field based position and you will be in the field at least three days per week, looking to meet face to face as much as possible and there will be overnight stays required.

We are looking for sales candidates who meet the following criteria:

· Field sales experience in a B2B specification led sales role · Track record of dealing with M&E Consultants, EPCs, and Main Contractors at Major Projects Level · A good understanding of the entire sales process from spec to close, including protecting specifications · A background from construction or mechanical sales · Full UK driving license · A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background would be advantageous · Excellent communication skills

Package:

Base Salary: £55,000-65,000 DOE Bonus: 20%-40% of basic salary, paid quarterly. Car (hybrids), Pension, Private Healthcare, 23 days holiday (rises to 25 after two years), Phone & Laptop
