The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and creative Sales & Marketing Assistant to join our busy international sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for film and documentaries to play a vital role in the entire lifecycle of our titles internationally. You will be a key support across sales, international marketing, and communications, helping to drive our campaigns from initial acquisition through to festival launches, global distribution, and awards season.

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in a small, nimble, fast-paced, fun, dynamic, and friendly working environment, and who is eager to develop their career in the film industry.

Sales marketing

• Manage and execute our email marketing strategy, including newsletters, campaign analysis, and reporting.
• Coordinate the creation of sales catalogues and promotional materials, from design brief to print and delivery.
• Create and design engaging content for our sales-focused social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn).
• Maintain the Dogwoof Sales website, ensuring all film pages, news, and trailers are up to date.
• Design and prepare key marketing materials for major film markets and festivals.
• Assist with funding applications and maintain central marketing and sales documents.

PR, Communications & Awards

• Coordinate international press requests, including managing screeners and interview schedules with talent.
• Support the Head of Marketing & Communications on campaign strategy, press asset selection, and liaising with international publicists.
• Track all press coverage and award wins, providing key support for international awards campaigns and submissions.

Sales Administration

• Provide general administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling, assistance with contracts and other related tasks.
• Keeping internal trackers up to date across sales, finance and acquisitions

• Has approximately 2 years of experience in a similar role within film distribution, sales, or marketing.
• Possesses exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Is a superb communicator, both written and verbal.
• Is a creative thinker with a strong eye for design. Proficiency with Canva and the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) is highly desirable.
• Has experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), managing professional social media accounts and website platforms (e.g., Squarespace)
• Is a proactive and collaborative team player, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Familiarity with industry platforms like Cinando and IMDbPro is a plus.
• Demonstrates a genuine and passionate interest in documentary film and the independent film industry.
