This role is ideal for people with 5–10 years of success in sales or customer-focused roles—whether in recruitment, estate agency, media, events, retail, or hospitality—who want to transition into a fast-paced and rewarding technology career. What You’ll Do Begin with a structured 6-week training programme to learn about Microsoft solutions, consultative selling, and tech market dynamics Focus 100% on generating and closing new business opportunities Build a pipeline from scratch and engage decision-makers across industries Work closely with our technical and pre-sales experts to create impactful proposals Take ownership of your own learning, development, and long-term success What We’re Looking For 5–10 years in a sales or customer-facing role outside of tech Strong people skills, emotional intelligence, and natural curiosity Drive and hunger to succeed in a new environment Confidence on the phone, in meetings, and during presentations Resilience, coachability, and the ability to overcome setbacks What You’ll Get Base Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 OTE: Up to £50,000 in Year 1 OTE: £60,000 – £70,000 in Year 2 Year 3+: Uncapped earning potential—our top salespeople earn six figures 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Christmas break Access to mentoring, coaching, and a sales playbook Hybrid working post-onboarding (Leatherhead office-based) Employee wellness initiatives, gym discount, and free fruit & coffee Recruitment Process Our process is designed to support career changers and identify those with the potential to succeed in tech sales. Stage 1: Screening Call A 30 minute telephone conversation with Phoenix51. We'll explore your background, sales/customer experience, and why you want to pivot into tech. Stage 2: Assessment Centre – Leatherhead Office A half-day session run by Bytes and Phoenix51. You’ll take part in: - A role-play simulating a sales call - A group exercise testing teamwork and commercial thinking - A presentation showcasing your approach to a sales problem - A final interview with Bytes sales leaders Closing This is a role for people ready to invest in their future.
