Reporting to: Business Development Director
The Poultry Sales Manager leads the UK Poultry Sales Team and drives the growth of ForFarmers’ presence in the poultry feed market. This management role requires deep sector expertise, strategic commercial thinking, and strong leadership to meet sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service across the poultry industry.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in sales leadership, ideally in the poultry, animal nutrition, or agricultural sector.
- Strong understanding of the UK poultry industry (broilers, layers, breeders) and associated production systems.
- Ability to lead and motivate a sales team in a target-driven environment.
- Commercial acumen with a track record of increasing market share and profitability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Poultry Sales Team to achieve and surpass sales objectives.
- Help design and implement the UK poultry feed sales strategy, aligned with company goals and industry trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with poultry producers, integrators, distributors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor industry developments, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments including nutrition, operations, marketing, and technical support to deliver high-quality feed solutions and service.
- Manage budgets, sales forecasts, and report on team performance and market developments.
- Uphold ForFarmers’ values in all business and team interactions.
