Pre-Sales Technical Consultant (Video)
Location: Commutable distance to Winchester / London with a view to being onsite once a week
The Pre-Sales Consultant, reporting to the Pre-Sales Manager, will provide specialist technical input into bid proposals, projects, and technical documents, and identify opportunities to support existing customers.
As an expert in your area, you will have significant experience working within the Broadcast industry, with the ability to produce innovative designs and cost-effective solutions. You will have experience working collaboratively with sales, technical, engineering, and operational teams to bring solutions to life. Confidence working directly with customers is critical for this role.

- Up to £75k base salary

The role
- Provide technical input into bid proposals, projects, and technical documents, supporting existing customers
- Collaborate with customers and sales teams to understand requirements and develop cost-effective solutions
- Provide technical leadership, sharing knowledge, guidance, and mentoring to engineers, technicians, and customers
- Use market intelligence to inform strategic projects and understand market positions
- Engage with product teams to develop products and services to meet customer needs
- Ensure design work complies with technical standards and best practices
The person
- Technical experience in Video compression systems, Digital TV standards, IP and fibre Networks, Playout, VOD, Streaming, and IP Security within Broadcast and Video Media environments
- Experience in solution architecture design and costing
- Ability to present proposals to technical and non-technical audiences and influence stakeholders
- Leadership skills in managing tasks and resources, promoting standardization and continuous improvement
- Experience in satellite data communications
- Active research into emerging technologies and market trends
- Knowledge of Playout, OTT solutions, cloud environments, and product definition
