About the Role
As a Regional Manager for GSF Car Parts you will lead by example by providing regional leadership to multiple branches for the Southeast region, ensuring the achievement of sales and profitability targets in line with Group objectives. Being the leader of the branch means that you will be proactive and positive towards branch and Company promotion and initiatives, leading on our aim to be the best supplier, employer, and customer within our industry.
Main duties include:
Drive performance by maximising company profits and sales for the branches in your region. Develop business plans and sales strategies for the region that ensures achievement of regional sales targets. Assess the productivity and achievements of the branches and recommend changes. Provide timely feedback to Divisional Director regarding performance including opportunities and concerns. Responsible for the development of the teams across the Regional Branch Network including Branch Managers, Assistant Branch Managers, Sales/Logistic teams and Field Sales Account Managers. Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one reviews to ensure effective communications, understanding of talent and development needs to constantly improve performance. Organise and implement and where appropriate, deliver coaching sessions and group training to improve performance in the region. Support with recruitment, conduct issues and performance management where required. In collaboration with local Branch Managers and the team prepare and initiate action plans to penetrate new markets, sales leads and prospects. Ensure the success of marketing campaigns and events throughout the region. Ensure contact with all key customers in the region to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure success of National Accounts, B2B Digital Sales and Servicesure programs.
What you’ll need to succeed:
Substantial track record in sales, business development and operational management within a branch based distribution sales environment, ideally in a leadership or senior capacity. Automotive background is desirable. A high level of leadership and people management experience, with evidence of performance management and staff development, ideally within a multi-site context. Financial acumen and a high degree of commercial common sense, with hands-on experience of handling pricing, profitability and targets (EBITDA). Competitive, flexible and self-directed with strong inner confidence and external presence. Business savvy with a sharp and astute mind for operations and profitability. Naturally self-motivated, with high energy levels and mobility, with a positive attitude and the willingness to get hands-on involved in branch issues.
