Residential Business Development and Sales Executive

Direct Responsibility: Delivering annual sales targets and providing guidance to Sales Support.

Job Purpose and Core Responsibilities

The Executive will actively drive revenue growth by cultivating relationships with a designated portfolio of leading interior designers and architects, transitioning existing 'warm' accounts into significant project partnerships by acting as an ambassador for the Minotti brand in the UK's high-end residential sector.

Key Accountabilities

  • Relationship Management: Manage and grow a defined portfolio of 'warm' residential accounts (Interior Designers and Architects) who act as key partners and intermediaries for high-value client projects.
  • Proactive Project Generation: Systematically identify, qualify, and secure new project specifications from both existing accounts and high-potential new prospects.
  • Activity Metrics: Conduct a minimum of 5 strategic client/prospect meetings per week (outside the showroom). Execute 25 targeted weekly outbound calls to maintain a strong project pipeline.
  • Target Achievement: Exceed personal annual and monthly sales targets, contributing directly to the growth of Minotti London.
  • Brand Representation: Uphold the aesthetic and quality standards of the Minotti brand, ensuring all professional conduct and showroom presentation reflect timeless elegance and uncompromising quality.

Sales Process Management

  • Full Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales lifecycle, from initial outreach and brief development to quotation, design collaboration, final negotiation, and coordination of delivery/installation.
  • Effective Delegation: Lead and delegate all supporting tasks (design work, drawing, logistics, quoting) to the dedicated Sales Support team, ensuring efficient delivery of client services.
  • Reporting: Maintain a highly accurate and detailed pipeline forecast on a weekly basis for reporting to the senior management team.

Additional Duties (Brand Ambassador)

  • Global Engagement: Attend the annual Salone del Mobile in Milan and other relevant international trade shows.
  • Networking: Actively attend and host exclusive evening and early-morning industry events (dinners, press launches, architect meetings) to enhance brand presence and forge new relationships.
  • Continuous Development: Participate in overseas product training and brand development sessions to maintain expert-level product knowledge.

Person Specification: The Minotti Standard

  • Educational Attainments: Degree-level education (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Design, Architecture). D
  • Knowledge and Experience: Proven, successful track record in B2B sales (3+ years preferred), ideally within the luxury interiors, architecture, or high-end property sector. D
  • Product Expertise: Demonstrable knowledge of luxury furniture, architectural detailing, and the high-end residential project cycle. E
  • Design Fluency: Deep appreciation for Italian design and the Minotti design DNA (Aesthetic Sobriety, Architectural Form, Sartorial Detail). D
  • Skills and Aptitudes: Exceptional presentation skills, verbal and written communication, and high numerical accuracy (quoting, margin analysis). E
  • Delegation/Leadership: Proven ability to delegate effectively and lead a supportive team member to achieve collective goals. D
  • Personal Qualities: Impeccable personal grooming and professional presentation, mirroring the Minotti brand's standard of elegance. E
  • Proactive Drive: Highly self-motivated and self-reliant, with an innate drive for outbound business development. E
  • Language: Fluent or working proficiency in Italian (to engage with the factory and Minotti family). D
