The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Director who’s a true hunter. Someone who thrives on opening doors, building relationships from scratch, and driving revenue in uncharted territory. This is not a maintenance role; it’s a ground-up growth challenge.

You’ll be the face of Volklec to automotive OEMs, leading the charge to establish our presence in the UK and beyond. You’ll also explore and create opportunities in adjacent sectors, helping shape the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy targeting automotive OEMs.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting to close.
  • Collaborate with product and leadership teams to shape offerings based on market feedback.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities in emerging or adjacent sectors.
  • Represents Volklec at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven track record of selling directly to automotive OEMs – not Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Experience working in start-up or scale-up environments – you’re comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced change.
  • A natural hunter – proactive, persistent, and commercially sharp.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Excellent communicator – credible, clear, and authentic. No fluff.
  • Able to identify and create new market opportunities beyond automotive.
