Position Summary

The International Sales Director is responsible for setting the sales strategy, managing a team of Account Executives and Account Managers, and developing key relationships with strategic clients across regions. The role focuses on acquiring new logos, expanding existing accounts, and renewing existing ones to support our verticalized go-to-market strategy and revenue growth.

  • Salary range: 108000 - 125000 GBP + commission; Up to OTE 175000 GBP

  • Reporting to: Vice President, Sales

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of Account Executives and Account Managers in the EMEA and APAC regions to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue growth goals.
  • Set team and individual sales targets, track KPIs, and report on sales performance.
  • Drive sales pipeline growth through direct outreach, inbound leads, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop relationships with executive-level stakeholders. Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Business Development to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead contract negotiations, enterprise solution presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Perform weekly pipeline reviews and provide one-on-one support with each sales rep.
  • Provide a weekly forecast and pipeline review to the VP of Sales.
  • Support sales reps through daily/weekly calls and meetings as needed.
  • Ensure the sales team meets profit and market share growth goals.
  • Provide leadership to the sales organization and align objectives with Yes Energy’s values and business goals.
  • Help design, implement, and manage sales strategy and processes; maintain high-quality, integrity, and process consistency in the sales organization.
  • Coordinate planning, forecasting, and budgeting with other groups and company planning processes.
  • Equitably assign vertical markets, product/use case alignments, and sales goals to support customer retention, growth, and financial objectives.
  • Partner with marketing, product, and sales to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Foster effective program implementation within the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process for launches and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Sales on the technology strategy; recommend changes to the company tech stack when needed.
  • Ensure sales reports and internal business intelligence are provided to stakeholders; develop new reporting tools as needed.
  • Coordinate with leadership and People Operations to support a sales training plan focused on critical competencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including three years in a sales leadership role.
  • Minimum of two years leading a team using MEDDPICC and a Value-Based Selling approach.
  • Deep understanding of EMEA electricity markets.
  • Proven track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.

Skills & Abilities

  • Built or supported a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan.
  • Experience selling SaaS into EMEA Power Market Participant companies.
  • Track record of selling opportunities with annual value over $200k to C-Level executives.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating sales reps’ progress and aligning behavior with performance expectations.
  • Managed a team of 6+ salespeople.
  • Ability to manage key customer relationships and close strategic opportunities.
  • Proficient in Salesforce for managing tasks, pipeline, and closing data.
  • Experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives.
  • Knowledge of building and managing a territory structure by geography, customer vertical, or use case.
  • Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience selling SaaS, analytics, or data services to power market participants.
  • Existing network of contacts in energy trading, renewables, or utility sectors.
