Base pay range
We're lookign for a strategic and results-oriented Commercial Director to lead a Nutrition & Wellness portfolio business in the UK. This is a key senior leadership role within a growing business that partners with major retailers and operates across multiple international markets.
You’ll drive the commercial strategy across branded and private-label offerings, overseeing sales, identifying growth opportunities and leading a high-performing commercial team. This role reports directly into the executive leadership team and offers significant influence over the direction of the business.
The Opportunity
This position offers the chance to shape the future of a fast-growing division within a highly entrepreneurial, trend-led FMCG environment. You’ll take full ownership of the commercial plan, team and customer relationships, focusing on grocery, wellness, ecommerce and B2B channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Full P&L responsibility for c.£25m revenue portfolio
- Lead the commercial growth strategy across multiple categories and sales channels
- Identify emerging consumer trends and whitespace opportunities to expand product and market reach
- Build and strengthen partnerships with national retailers, wellness outlets and global distributors
- Ensure best-in-class customer engagement and execution
- Leverage data and insights to inform product and customer strategies
- Manage and develop a UK-based commercial team
- Champion a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable culture
- Build future capability through coaching, mentoring, and structured development
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Technical, Ops and Finance teams to align on pricing, innovation, compliance and delivery
- Play a key role in ensuring cross-divisional consistency and sharing of commercial best practice
- Ensure commercial contracts, regulatory obligations and reporting are effectively managed
- Track division-level KPIs, monitor performance and proactively manage risk and margin
- Drive sustainability and transparency across all nutrition-related initiatives
Ideal Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior commercial leadership role within FMCG (food, wellness or nutrition experience strongly preferred)
- Strong track record in retail partnership development, category growth and strategic delivery
- P&L ownership experience at a senior level with multi-channel exposure
- Highly collaborative leadership style with emotional intelligence and commercial gravitas
- Excellent communicator, confident influencing at board and customer level
- Passionate about innovation, health and sustainability
