Sales Director – Sponsorship Sales

Fully Remote | £70,000 – £85,000 + Commission

A global events and conferences organisation is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and grow its sponsorship sales function. This fully remote role offers high earning potential, international exposure, and a genuine pathway to senior leadership within a fast-scaling business.

As Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of high-level B2B events. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, build and close sponsorship opportunities with senior corporate stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping sales strategy. Depending on structure, you will either manage your own lead generation or direct a team of SDRs.

Responsibilities

  • Leading new business sponsorship sales across multiple events
  • Building relationships with C-suite and senior corporate decision-makers
  • Structuring, negotiating, and closing complex, high-value deals
  • Driving team performance and coaching junior sales talent
  • Contributing to the commercial strategy and long-term growth of the business
  • Achieving and surpassing ambitious sales and revenue targets

Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in sponsorship sales within conferences, exhibitions, or events
  • Proven track record of consistent target achievement at a senior level
  • Strong background in new business development and complex B2B deal-making
  • Skilled at engaging and influencing director and C-suite stakeholders
  • Experience leading or mentoring sales teams is highly advantageous
  • Entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and driven to exceed expectations
  • No SaaS/software-only sales, delegate sales, or account management-only backgrounds
