Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Sales Manager to lead our expansion into the London market. This senior-level role is responsible for driving new business, building high-value relationships, and positioning Acumen Resources as a trusted partner for global resourcing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute a growth strategy to establish Acumen’s presence in the London market.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and engage potential clients across sectors including insurance, reinsurance, financial services, IT, FMCG, and startups.
- Sales Leadership: Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pitching to closing and onboarding.
- Executive Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.
- Lead Conversion: Convert qualified leads into long-term clients through consultative selling and tailored solutions.
- Networking: Leverage an existing network of senior-level contacts to accelerate market penetration.
- Negotiation & Deal Structuring: Lead commercial negotiations and structure agreements that deliver value to both parties.
- Collaboration: Work closely with delivery and operations teams to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and positioning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 - 15 years’ experience in sales, business development, or client acquisition roles.
- Proven success in selling recruitment outsourcing, professional services or outsourcing solutions, ideally within the London market.
- Sector experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or technology/startups is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of other outsourcing providers and/or experience in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) industry is a strong advantage.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a consultative approach to sales.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Established network of senior-level contacts in the London business ecosystem.
