THE ROLE
We are looking to hire a driven Sales Manager to help us rapidly scale our grain trading platform, Hectare Trading, and further develop our market-leading position.
The Sales Manager will help us acquire and expand new farm accounts on Hectare Trading. The role benefits from significant exposure to senior management, reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and managing two enthusiastic Sales Executives.

In this role you will help ensure we continue to grow the number of farms using Hectare Trading and set them up for success, so they clearly understand the value of the product, how to use it and how it can form a key part of their grain marketing strategy. You will be required to build a deep understanding of grain marketing best practice and how farms sell their grain. You will manage the team of sales executives (currently two) and build close working relationships with the account management team and the buyer team, as well as other parts of the organisation. You will also act as an important voice of the customer to help develop and improve our product.

ABOUT YOU
You’ll have all or some of these specific skills & experience:
- Strong B2B sales experience - most likely in a sales manager or sales lead role
- Proven experience in establishing relationships with customers and winning new business
- Passion for speaking directly with customers and making outbound calls
- Significant experience in new business activities (e.g. nurturing leads, building relationships with prospects) essential
- Solid knowledge of account management (e.g. account planning, profiling/prioritisation) also desirable
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong team player
- Comfortable and competent with CRMs and other sales tools (e.g. Salesforce)
- Agricultural (especially knowledge of arable), grain trading or agritech background is highly desirable
