to support the Head of Sales in managing a team of 17 sales professionals. This is a

UK promotional merchandise industry , the company works with businesses and organisations of all sizes to supply a wide range of branded products - from everyday items like mugs, bags, and keyrings to bespoke marketing materials. Their in-house team supports clients from order to delivery, offering expert guidance, quality printing, and a seamless service experience. The Role: You'll play a key part in leading a busy sales floor, supporting team performance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will be an approachable, organised, and resilient leader who can build positive working relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head of Sales in managing a team of 17 Motivate and coach team members to hit individual and group targets Monitor performance and provide regular feedback Help onboard and train new team members Maintain strong, professional relationships with team members, customers, and suppliers Handle performance issues and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism What We're Looking For: Experience in a

sales team leadership

or

supervisory

role Proven ability to manage people effectively in a fast-paced environment Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills Able to balance friendliness with professionalism when handling sensitive situations Experience in the merchandise, printing, or marketing sector is beneficial, but not essential What's On Offer: Full-time, permanent role (Monday to Friday, 5 days a week, based on-site in Colchester) Competitive salary
