The Role
We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to be a key technical leader in our sales organization. You will partner with our sales team to demonstrate the value of our data and cloud security solutions to enterprise clients.
Your role is to guide customers through the technical sales cycle, from understanding their business needs to architecting security solutions and proving their value through hands-on demonstrations and proof-of-concepts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and the ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers during the sales cycle.
- Lead technical discussions and present tailored security solutions.
- Use your expertise to help customers address challenges related to data discovery, posture management, and compliance.
- Design and deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts that effectively showcase our solution's capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, customer success) to align on customer needs and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering role.
- A solid understanding of data security and/or cloud infrastructure security concepts.
- Experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, from technical teams to business leaders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
What Will Help You Succeed
- Hands-on experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Understanding of data and privacy and security standards such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GLBA, and NYDFS.
- Familiarity with data security frameworks including DSPM (Data Security Posture Management).
- Experience with modern cloud computing including Linux, Kubernetes, or various data systems (e.g., MongoDB, AWS S3, etc.).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or cloud-specific certs).
