Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a well-known and respected Sheffield Engineering business to recruit a Senior Sales Engineer. This is a key role with excellent career progression opportunities.

This role is responsible for taking opportunities and enquiries through the sales process with a strong bias on the technical understanding of customer needs and the products and services offered.

We are looking for a unique individual that has both a background in Engineering alongside excellent commercial acumen and relationship building skills! You'll even get an early finish on a Friday!

Senior Sales Engineer Role:

- Identify new opportunities supporting the Sales Director with existing customers and target businesses.

- Work closely with Product Engineers, Contracts, and Supply Chain to follow the enquiry qualification process.

- Acquire customers by providing products and services that meet their quality, price, and delivery needs, offering commercial solutions with technical support.

- Conduct technical and commercial negotiations with customers.

- Handle engineering enquiries and prepare quotations.

- Arrange face-to-face visits with current and potential customers both in the UK and oversea, and attend trade shows and exhibitions where required.

Skills required:

- Engineering background with a strong commercial bias
- NVQ level 3/ONC/HNC/HND in Engineering
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong literacy, numeracy and computer competency
- High level understanding of technical specifications and tender documentation • Demonstrable commercial acumen with proven strong negotiation skills • Needs-fulfilling and/or consultative sales experience
- Experienced in negotiating commercial contracts and T&Cs
