As a Security Sales Specialist, you will be afforded a flexibility not often seen in sales. You will help shape a region, target accounts, and help design the go-to-market strategy. In this role, you will be a sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit.As a Security Sales Specialist Senior, you will be responsible for:Being a trusted AI advisor: open to innovating with customers, developing proofs of concept (PoCs), and bringing AI solutions to life.Working closely with the enablement, marketing and product teams to help refine sales motions and influence product strategy.Managing the full sales cycle from early outreach, qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, Proof of concept (PoC), negotiation and close.Being accountable for your sales target and overachieving on that sales target.Building customer relationships and qualifying opportunities such that the sales forecast is accurate.To be successful in this role you will:Have deep domain experience in AI applications, LLMs, abuse prevention, and/or AI/ML-related threat defense.Have sales experience in cybersecurity and show evidence of success and progression in the role.Have experience in early-stage or high growth environments.Display history of consistently exceeding individual sales goals and targets.Have experience navigating complex organizations.Have demonstrated the ability to close new customer acquisition.FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
