Job Description
Join us as a Social Media and Marketing Assistant and help AA Educates shine online. You’ll create inspiring content, manage our social platforms, and share the stories that connect communities and champion educational equity.
What difference will you make?
As Social Media assistant at AA Educates, your voice and creativity will shape how we are seen by the communities we serve, our partners, and the wider public. With your help, we will expand our reach and deepen our engagement with students, parents, educators, and supporters across the country.
Your input will help us tell powerful stories of transformation, from inner-city classrooms to corporate boardrooms, and spotlight the impact of our programmes on young people’s futures. You will enable us to build awareness, attract new collaborators, and inspire action, all while amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard.
Your expertise will allow us to grow sustainably at a time of expansion, as we launch new initiatives and connect with schools, funders, and changemakers who share our vision for educational equity. Together, we will move the needle on social mobility and create a future where every young person, regardless of background, can thrive.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role (minimum 3 years)
Strong understanding of platform-specific best practices, trends, and audience behaviours
Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
Proficient in Canva, Later/Buffer/Meta Suite, and social analytics tools
Ability to work independently, manage timelines, and respond to emerging trends
A genuine interest in education, social mobility, and youth empowerment
Graphic design and short-form video editing skills
Previous experience working with purpose-driven organisations or non-profits is desirable
What will you be doing?
You will play a key role in amplifying AA Educates’ voice across our digital platforms. You’ll lead on content strategy, manage day-to-day posting, build engagement with our target audiences (students, parents, educators and partners), and strengthen our brand presence in line with our mission of educational equity.
