Technical Sales Manager – Electron Microscopy

OverviewNow recruiting for a fast-growing product category, this role focuses on developing customers for Electron Microscopy Instruments within the UK, partnering with a senior management team in a research and industrial setting.Join an industry-leading supplier of electron microscopy instruments and accessories used for analytic and research purposes, with a strong focus on service delivery and meeting high standards of performance and quality.ResponsibilitiesOperate from a home office and cover the UK.Develop sales of Electron Microscopes (value from £60K to £1.5m) within Academia and Industrial markets.Deliver equipment demonstrations of SEM and TEM instruments at the UK Demo Centre, virtually via Teams, and on client sites.Grow the sales pipeline in a 50% new business and 50% account management mix.Engage with Facility Manager, Professor, Electron Microscopy Manager, Quality Manager, and Lab Manager levels.Attend industry conferences and expos across the UK.Generate and attend both face-to-face and virtual meetings.Qualify and respond to inquiries and website leads.Generate leads through local workshops and by identifying customers with older instruments needing replacement.Work to annual sales objectives, including instrument unit targets.Develop lasting relationships with customers.About You / QualificationsExperience and knowledge of electron microscopy required; ideally in a technical sales capacity.
