Position
We are currently seeking a Technical Sales to join our CAREL UK Subsidiary located in Chessington. The position offers an office-based work model.
The Technical Support Engineer will reinforce the sales and technical development process with the leading HVAC-R OEM manufacturers, customers, end users, and engineers on site. The key task will be to support the implementation, by key manufacturers of heat pumps and ventilation units, of the high-efficiency solutions provided by CAREL, with a particular focus on compressor variable speed drives, natural refrigerants, and advanced connectivity.
The Sales Engineer will also create offers for regulation systems with the integration of electrical panels.
Main responsibilities and actions:
Identifies suspects and develops and grows the sales funnel (Finds, Wins, Retains) from Suspect to Prospect to Customer Seeks opportunities, secures commitment and loyalty from customers, and wins identified business revenuesEstablishes and maintains productive, professional relationships with key decision makers and influencersSupports customers with application, selection supportEngages with and attends regular customer meetings, solely and/or with colleagues, as requiredRegularly communicates with customers, manages need for customer meetings and liaises with external sales teamsPresents the range of CAREL products, solutions and services that fit the key growth drivers of the defined marketProactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs Ensures sufficient UK inventory profile is aligned with customers’ needs and market demandsProvides Customers with pre-sales, post-sales, and project application support Prepares solution and application based proposals and offers using the relevant selection & specification tools and platforms Manages the project pipelineProvides and presents products, solutions and application education and adviceGathers product and market information and prepares analysisLiaises with the supply chain teamCreates and maintains Customer records in CAREL CRM systemsIdentifies new business potential and opportunitiesAttends associated and relevant trade exhibitions, conferencesand meetingsAchieves the Quality Standards and KPI targets to ensure continual developmentContributes towards the continual improvement of LEAN and 5$Works with other sales and technical colleagues to meet customer needs Requirements
Proven track record in technical/application sales Technical awareness of Refrigeration/HVAC applications Commercial awareness of REFR/HVAC market Knowledge of refrigeration solutions, particularly CO2 food retail and food service solutions, cold chain supply, industrial refrigeration and associated controls and IOT solutions, field and digital services.Knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometric processes, airside heat recovery, within commercial, industrial and data centre applications.Direct Sales experience in a B2B sales environment Account management & business developmentExecution of Strategic, Operational, and Corrective PlansCommunication and presentation skills, written and verbalTeam working enthusiasm, "hands-on” approachGood attitude in relationship and communication with colleagues, sales network, and customersShare the values of Carel Culture Code!
