Location: Location Independent Worker (LIW)

Working Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week – Mon to Fri)

What You’ll Do
The Pre‑Sale Solution Consultant’s primary role is to engage across a broad range of contact points within a customer organisation, understand the business goals and objectives, and work with the customer and account team to identify, qualify and propose solutions aligned to opportunities where Vodafone portfolio capability could support the customer in achieving its goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the requirements gathering process, acting as the single point of contact for both internal teams and customers
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and solution designs
- Develop solution architectures from conceptual through to physical design stages, ensuring alignment with customer goals and Vodafone’s strategic direction
- Evaluate technology options and identify optimal solutions that address customer challenges
- Represent the Business Pre‑Sale team in both internal and external engagements, upholding standards of professionalism and best practice
- Ensure compliance with local Pre‑Sale processes and governance
Sales Support
- Provide technical expertise during bid qualification and commercial discussions
- Deliver accurate cost estimates for Finance approval, maintaining strong relationships with vendors to validate configurations and pricing
- Contribute the technical components of bid documentation and support the sales team in customer engagements
- Present technical solutions to clients at a peer level, ensuring clarity and confidence in the proposed approach
Solution Design
- Capture and validate customer requirements, leveraging additional resources as needed
- Translate customer needs into Vodafone’s product and service language, producing design documentation that meets internal and account‑specific standards
- Collaborate with Product Management and subject‑matter experts to ensure solution feasibility and completeness
- Communicate the solution design to Service and Project Management teams, ensuring ease of deployment and ongoing manageability
- Incorporate monitoring, reporting, and capacity planning into all designs
- Secure internal and customer sign‑off for all technical designs
- Manage technical relationships with third‑party vendors and partners
- Engage Delivery teams when necessary to ensure smooth project handover and customer satisfaction
Who You Are
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, commercially viable solutions that meet both client expectations and internal standards. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and documenting the proposed solutions, ensuring they are aligned with customer requirements and approved by all stakeholders. You will act as the primary owner of the solution during the bid phase, accountable for capturing and articulating client needs, selecting appropriate technologies, and producing the initial solution documentation that forms the basis of the customer contract.
