Role: Regional Account Executive (Inside Sales)

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

Salary: £34,656 (plus performance incentives)

Following a period of growth and transformation, Royal Mail are looking for a driven and commercially focused Regional Account Executive to manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 150 business customers. This is a key inside sales role where you'll take ownership of a multi-million revenue portfolio, driving growth, customer satisfaction, and contract renewals.

You'll work closely with internal teams and third-party partners to deliver tailored solutions, secure major deals, and help shape our customer strategy in parcels, letters, and international services.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio to meet revenue, retention, and renewal targets
• Execute strategic account plans, increasing share of spend and enhancing customer satisfaction
• Identify and convert new opportunities, deploying campaigns and tailored pricing solutions
• Represent the voice of the customer and collaborate across departments to ensure service excellence
• Deliver accurate forecasts and maintain robust sales reporting in CRM systems
• Introduce new products and services, proactively responding to competitor activity
• Ensure all sales are accurately recorded to support reward and recognition outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Experience in sales, ideally inside/desk-based sales, although any relevant experience will be considered
• Strong business acumen and ability to act on emerging trends
• Skilled in portfolio planning, relationship management, and solution selling
• Self-motivated with the ability to operate effectively with autonomy
• Confident negotiator with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal development
