Job Description
As Area Sales Director, you will develop and maintain relationships with foreign governments, commercial MRO stakeholders, and other aviation customers. You will create and implement sales strategies that highlight the features and benefits of Boeing products and services to increase sales and profitability. You will manage the full sales cycle for assigned accounts from preplanning to customer service using the full suite of communication technologies.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with foreign governments and commercial MRO stakeholders.
- Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement sales strategies that highlight the features and benefits of our products and services to enhance sales and profitability.
- Sales Cycle Management: Oversee the full sales cycle for assigned accounts, from pre-planning to customer service, utilizing the full suite of communication technologies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Compile and present documentation to support management reviews and participate in strategic discussions.
- Negotiation Support: Assist lead negotiators during business negotiations to secure commitments from customers and vendors.
- Market Analysis: Research and analyze competitor products and services to improve our market positioning.
- Customer Solutions Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions based on customer needs and available resources.
- Networking: Engage with both internal and external resources to foster business growth and maintain customer relationships.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical outside sales and marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, or similar, preferably with a focus on sales & marketing.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and common CRM tools (Salesforce, Siebel, etc.).
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience within the aerospace and/or defense industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of aviation material sales and services.
- Experience working with MRO providers, FBOs, helicopter operators, OEMs, and/or corporate aviation entities.
Additional Information
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the UK. Benefits and pay are determined by the UK and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
