Covering South Wales, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall & surrounding areas

About the Opportunity

I’m working with a leading UK distributor within the electrical products industry who are looking to appoint an experienced Area Sales Manager for the South West region.

This is a field-based role, spending most of your week out with customers and prospects, supported by an excellent internal sales and management team. If you’re driven, target-focused, and thrive on building strong customer relationships, this could be the ideal next step in your sales career.


The Role

As Area Sales Manager, you’ll take ownership of your region — maintaining existing relationships while driving new business opportunities across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell a wide range of electrical and industrial products to M&E contractors, OEMs, and distributors.
  • Manage and grow an existing customer base while developing new accounts.
  • Represent the business at trade shows and industry events.
  • Work collaboratively with internal sales and management teams to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Plan and manage your time effectively to maximise sales opportunities within your territory.


About You

You’re a confident and personable sales professional with strong relationship-building skills and a commercial mindset.


You’ll bring:

  • A proven track record in B2B field sales — ideally within electrical wholesale, manufacturing, or distribution.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Good planning and territory management skills.
  • A positive, professional, and outgoing attitude.
  • (Bonus) Experience within the cable or electrical industry — not essential but highly advantageous.
