Client Accounting Manager

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds city centre is seeking a Client Accounting Manager to join its established and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys both client-facing responsibilities and internal team management.

The firm prides itself on delivering a first-class service across a wide range of areas including accounts preparation, taxation compliance, outsourcing solutions, bookkeeping, payroll, consultancy, and general business advice. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of clients while also contributing to the ongoing development of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of clients, primarily incorporated businesses, while also supporting unincorporated clients and individuals where required. Taking responsibility for compliance matters, including annual accounts and corporation tax returns. Providing personal tax planning advice to individuals. Reviewing and preparing annual accounts and tax computations. Supervising, mentoring, and developing team members to ensure client needs are met. Overseeing workflow management, WIP, billing, and KPI performance for the team. Acting as the primary relationship contact for clients, ensuring excellent service delivery. Promoting the Accounts & Outsourcing team internally and externally, with clients, professional contacts, and prospective clients. Identifying cross-servicing and business development opportunities.

About You:

ACA or ACCA fully qualified. Proven experience gained within an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of accounts preparation for both incorporated and unincorporated clients. Experience with IRIS, Xero and Sage is desirable but not essential. Strong communication, organisational, and people management skills. Ability to manage workflow, deadlines, and competing priorities effectively. Confident working independently while being a collaborative team player. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and advanced Excel skills.
