What you will do
Reporting to the Territory Sales Director, you will be part of the management team, responsible for implementation and delivery of the commercial strategy and performance of our sales team.
You will be responsible for achieving the revenue and margin targets for several Products within the Fire Suppression portfolio, within the UK & I territory. Your direct reports will include inside sales, outside sales, and technical specialists. You will foster a “one-team” approach.
In line with the wider EMEA regional strategy, you will create objectives for the team and set individual goals and priorities which deliver year-on-year growth targets.
You will drive a performance-based culture, coaching and developing the teams, embracing the future and supporting business transformation.
How you will do it
Ensure resources are aligned to deliver the business objectives, focused on activities and priorities that drive the biggest returns.
You will enable and develop the seller skills in effective opportunity and pipeline management, identifying and pursuing new project opportunities and negotiation skills required to close leads.
You will create and develop account plans for key and target customers, ensuring the responsible Salesperson has focused actions to grow wallet share.
Create a robust and continual approach to identifying areas of opportunity, white space and new initiatives, clearly understanding how we position today and how we deliver future state.
Use Salesforce CRM platform to target and measure the sales team’s activity in the market, measuring visit activity (face to face and virtually), opportunity pipeline and conversion, account planning, and coaching plans.
Understanding the UK & I market, create pricing strategies in partnership with Territory and Product Sales Directors.
Develop peer level relationships with key customers, supporting the sales team with face to face customer visits and manage escalations.
What we are looking for
- You will have a minimum 5 years of experience working in a senior sales role, with a proven track record of successful sales growth and development.
- Experience and demonstrated success in a consultative selling environment.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in managing teams, including all performance, activity, planning and sales processes. Utilising market insights and data to drive sensible decision making and the deployment of robust strategies to win.
- You will possess exceptional communication and reporting skills with the ability to accurately forecast.
- Ability to network cross-functionally in a matrix organization in order to drive collaboration and problem solving.
- Demonstrate the leadership skills to motivate and inspire a team to believe in your plan for growth, providing them with role clarity in line with the strategy and foster a cohesive working environment where teamwork is essential.
- Drive a performance culture whereby continual improvement is key, carry the ability to identify gaps in seller performance then utilising structured feedback and coaching techniques to drive performance improvement.
