As the Conference & Event Sales Office Manager , you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will lead, coach and inspire a talented Sales team, fostering a proactive sales mindset and collaborating across departments to achieve targets.
This position is crucial in maintaining the venue's strong reputation for quality and long-standing relationships with leading UK businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, support and develop a team of conference sales professionals, ensuring exceptional service, enquiry rates, conversion and overall sales performance for the venue
Oversee all enquiries, proposals and conversions for a diverse range of events and functions
Drive conversion rates through coaching, training and the implementation of effective sales strategies
Monitor team performance and support professional growth through regular one-to-ones and development plans
Responsible for yield management for all conference and event facilities in the venue
Work with the business development team on forecasting, driving the team and raising the conversion rate
Lead the Sales team's input into weekly reviews, monitor booking pace and support meeting room and accommodation yield decisions
Conduct weekly audits of sales data, encourage a proactive sales mindset
Who Theyre Looking for:
Proven experience leading a successful sales team in a venue, hospitality, or events-based environment
Hands-on experience with venue management systems
Ability to analyse data and translate insight into action
Confident communication skills with experience managing senior client relationships
Natural leadership style that builds team capability
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and process consistency
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences with a genuine interest in client success
