Are you ready to take full ownership of a high-profile contract and drive operational excellence? XPO is looking for a Contract Operations Manager to lead a high-profile distribution contract, delivering outstanding results across Safety, Service, Budget Performance, and Continuous Improvement.

This is a field-based position operating across five key UK sites, both customer and XPO sites, requiring regular travel and hands-on leadership across the network. While the role spans five UK sites, the ideal candidate will primarily operate between South Yorkshire and Stoke-on-Trent and should therefore be based within reasonable proximity so as to be able to lead effectively.

This is a strategic leadership role with end-to-end accountability, offering the opportunity to shape the future of the contract while developing your own career. Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £55,000 per annum with company car/ car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day / key responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational delivery of the contract, ensuring safety, service, and financial targets are consistently met.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and streamline operations
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams to align with strategic goals and uncover new opportunities.
  • Champion a high-performance culture through effective leadership, communication, and people development.
  • Ensure robust KPI and SLA management, with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions.
