The TV Distribution Sales Planning team is responsible for setting and delivering our product distribution strategy, supporting negotiations and delivering the end-to-end sales process. This includes franchise planning, managing product availabilities and rights, negotiation and pricing support, contract review and execution, and budget and forecasting. This role is based in the United Kingdom and supports the UK, Ireland & Malta Sales Team.
The role covers three key areas: Deal Management & Administration, Sales Analysis & Title Inventory Management, and Forecasting & Planning. The candidate will ideally have a background in TV Distribution or a media role with knowledge of the broadcast landscape and platforms. A keen eye for detail and the ability to learn new systems quickly are desirable.
What You'll Do
Deal Management & Administration: Set up and maintain deals in Sales & Rights Management systems (RPM); create Finance Release Packages in (S2F - Sales to Finance) and Materials Orders for deal management; manage contractual obligations and ensure deadlines are met as detailed in the contracts; draft simple contract drafts and amendments using standard templates, with Legal as needed; assist in deal execution with Sales and Legal; track contract workflow, client schedules, availability lists and ad hoc reports; provide client support and liaise with clients on queries related to deals (e.g., billing discrepancies, servicing issues, US Network scheduling changes).
Internal Relationships: Coordinate with Finance, DCS (Materials Fulfilment), ensure Sales Planning Procedures are upheld, and support system UAT and system development/enhancements.
Sales Analysis & Title Inventory Management: Support negotiations of new deals and renegotiations with proposal analysis in collaboration with Sales, Sales Planning Manager and the EMEA Analysis team; analyse reports for available products and identify titles meeting client and sales criteria; maximise sales potential; window management and strategy for franchise titles on local and Global Deals; engage in the development of new software tools (e.g., Tableau).
Forecasting & Planning: Ensure all deals and data in RPM/S2F are accurate and up to date; maintain/update annual and MRP forecasts in RPM; process changes promptly and inform the Sales Planning Manager and Sales Teams; provide variance analysis to support Sales in forecasting; create summaries and commentary for Sales & Finance; participate in regular forecast review meetings with Sales, Planning and Finance teams.
Qualifications
Educated to a minimum undergraduate degree level (preferable but not required).
Ideally 1–2 years of experience in a similar environment.
Strong IT skills, particularly Excel (Pivot Tables & Formulas); comfortable learning new systems.
Fluency in English; highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
Problem solving & decision making; ability to address root causes, propose solutions.
Ability to use complex information to provide clear summaries and insights; capable of managing priorities and deadlines; proactive and adaptable.
Excellent communication skills; team player who is willing to assist colleagues.
