Salary: £32,000 - £34,000
About Us:
At Learning People, we are passionate about transforming lives through industry-recognised, career-focused training. We help career changers and professionals unlock new opportunities in tech, project management, and beyond. Join a dynamic marketing team where innovation, customer engagement, and data-driven strategies are at the heart of what we do.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Customer lifecycle Marketing Specialist to own and optimise our email, CRM, & customer lifecycle strategy and drive customer engagement at every stage of the journey. You will play a key role in sales enablement, working closely with our Sales teams across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand to ensure our communications directly improve commercial KPIs, namely our “lead-to-enrolment” metric (lead conversion rate).
You’ll manage and grow our CRM database, execute personalised and targeted email campaigns, and continuously optimise our contact strategies to improve customer experiences, increase pick-up rates, and drive performance. You will collaborate with sales on a variety of sales enablement activities that improve the conversion rate of our leads to sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the CRM platform, ensuring data integrity, segmentation, and personalisation capabilities are fully leveraged.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns and automated workflows that nurture leads and drive customer engagement
- Design, test, and refine email templates to enhance deliverability, open rates, click-throughs, and conversion rate (we have in-house tools to support with template coding)
- Build strong relationships with Sales teams across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand to align CRM initiatives with sales objectives and enablement strategies.
- Develop and refine contact strategies to improve lead pick-up rates and overall customer experiences. Use data and insights to continuously optimise campaign performance and customer journey mapping (through activity like A/B testing)
- Implement new technologies and best practices to improve email performance, deliverability, and open rates.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and data privacy regulations.
- Work with the Commercial Director and Sales Leads on activity that nurtures leads to the point of enrolment (sale), including customer webinars, newsletters, creating compelling Sales Toolkit emails, and helping to refine the prompts for our AI sales agent.
- Collaborate with the wider marketing team to support integrated campaign strategies, e.g. sending newsletters that link to SEO blog posts and social media accounts
About You:
- 2-3 years of proven experience in CRM management and email marketing, with a strong focus on customer journeys, sales enablement, and extending customer lifecycles
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign) and marketing automation platforms.
- Expertise in contact strategy optimisation and experience improving lead pick-up rates
- Strong knowledge of email marketing best practices, deliverability, and personalisation techniques.
- Experience in implementing the tools and best practice to enhance email performance and customer engagement.
- Solid understanding of customer lifecycle management and behaviour-driven communications.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to translate insights into action.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills — with a proven track record of working closely with cross-functional teams, particularly Sales.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences through digital channels.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience working in international teams or across different regions.
- Background in the education or training sector.
