Deals Operations / Sales Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Deals Operations / Sales Specialist to cover a maternity leave in a high-impact, cross-functional sales operations role. You will be responsible for ensuring that deals are processed, executed, and completed as smoothly and efficiently as possible — from initial agreement through to final delivery.
This role combines stakeholder management, process optimisation, and problem-solving across multiple teams and client relationships. You will work closely with sales, legal, compliance, and finance colleagues, as well as with external advertisers and media agencies.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end deal management – oversee the execution of deal models and contractual workflows, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Stakeholder engagement – liaise with sales, legal, compliance, and finance teams; maintain positive relationships with advertisers and media agencies.
- Contractual problem-solving – review contracts, identify issues, and work with agencies or lawyers to resolve challenges.
- Process improvement – identify inefficiencies in current operations and recommend practical solutions.
- Portfolio success – contribute to achieving sales targets and maintaining a healthy, strategically aligned deal portfolio.
- Escalation handling – act as the go-to contact for deal-related issues, ensuring swift resolution and clear communication.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the confidence to operate in ambiguity.
- Comfortable handling confidential legal and commercial information.
- Able to adapt quickly to internal workflow and deal management tools.
- Sales or commercial acumen, with an understanding of forecasting, targets, and incentives.
- Legal experience is a plus but not essential — stakeholder skills, commercial awareness, and operational capability are more important.
- Background in big tech or media / broadcast / digital

Major advertisers (e.g., retailers, FMCG brands, banks)
- Leading media agencies (e.g., WPP, Omnicom)
