Role: External Sales Manager

Location: Epsom

Pay rate/Salary: Base Salary £40k to £50k + Bonus Available

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday

Type: Permanent – Office/Field based

Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)

My client is a leading Electrical Wholesaler, one of the largest in the UK, recruiting for an External Sales Manager at their Epsom Branch.

The Role of Sales Manager:

• Growing and increasing sales in the branch’s geographical area.
• Identifying and developing new and existing business accounts.
• Developing strong customer relationships to maximise the full potential of all accounts.
• Being resilient and persistent, handling rejection professionally.
• Working as part of a team to achieve high standards of business excellence.

Essential Sales Manager Skills:

• Electrical Wholesale experience
• Cold calling on the telephone with willingness and tenacity
• Approaching companies directly, identifying suitable target companies
• Confidently demonstrating sample products face-to-face to potential clients
• Building and maintaining professional relationships
• Planning, organising, and working to tight deadlines independently
• Smartly presented, portraying a professional company image
• Valid UK driving licence

Desirable Sales Manager Skills:

• Punctual, reliable, and effective time management
• Career-focused, hardworking, and ambitious
• Strong telephone skills
• Positive, driven, with excellent listening and communication skills
• Experience in the wholesale industry is advantageous but not essential
