The Role


We’re hiring our first ever SDR — the Founding SDR — to build the foundation of our Go-To-Market engine. This is not a typical SDR role where you step into a rigid process. At Specter, you’ll help design the playbook, shape our outreach strategy, and directly influence how sales is done.


You’ll work side by side with the founders, reaching out to senior investors and operators, and laying the groundwork for how we scale our sales motion. Every new lead, every meeting you book, will have a direct and visible impact on the business.


This is a rare opportunity: to join early, build from scratch, and grow into senior sales roles as Specter scales.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Build and own the top of the sales funnel — prospecting, outreach, and qualifying leads into opportunities.
  • Work directly with the founders to shape messaging, outreach strategy, and the first sales playbooks.
  • Experiment and adapt quickly — no rigid playbooks; your creativity and ideas will directly influence how we do sales.
  • Craft personalized outreach that resonates with VC, PE, and technology decision-makers.
  • Play an integral role in our growth — every new conversation you create will be a big win that moves the business forward.
  • Grow with the company — as the Founding SDR, you’ll have a clear path into Account Executive or sales leadership roles as we scale.

Requirements


  • 1–4 years of experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, or a similar commercial role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a pipeline.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — resourceful, adaptable, and excited to build from scratch.
  • Bonus: experience in SaaS, data, or financial services.
