Head of Sales and Operations Job Title: Head of Sales and Operations Location: United Kingdom Salary: From £70,000 plus bonus Travel: Nationwide travel required Lead Growth. Drive Performance. Are you a strategic leader with deep expertise in water treatment, a track record in sales and operational delivery, and the drive to scale a high-performing business? IWS Water Hygiene, part of South Staffordshire Plc, is a market leader in water hygiene, legionella control, and treatment solutions. We are now entering a major growth phase in our Water Treatment Division and we're seeking a commercially focused, technically confident Head of Sales and Operations to lead the charge. The Role: This is a pivotal role with full responsibility for both sales strategy and operational execution across our Water Treatment Division. You’ll lead a national team, drive new business growth, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery to clients across industrial, commercial, and public sectors. Key Responsibilities Lead the sales, technical, and operational strategy for the Water Treatment Division Build and lead a high-performing sales and service team, expanding our technical, commercial, and field capabilities Deliver on revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction targets Build and manage a national sales and service team, including technical consultants and field engineers Expand our footprint in key sectors: manufacturing, pharma, facilities management, utilities Oversee operational delivery ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships Collaborate with the executive team on innovation, pricing, and business model evolution Be part of a senior leadership team helping to guide the wider business strategy for IWS Represent the division across industry forums What You’ll Need: Experience leading commercial and operational teams in water treatment Strong commercial acumen and a track record of delivering growth Technical expertise in water systems (cooling towers, boilers, softeners, etc.) Excellent leadership and team development skills Experience with public sector and industrial clients Relevant industry qualifications (Legionella control, water hygiene, chemical/process engineering) Understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., HSG274, BSRIA) What You’ll Get in Return: A competitive salary from£70,000per annum plus bonus Company car or car cash alternative Company pension with employer contribution Store discount for personal shopping needs 24-hour helpline providing free and confidential advice to you and your family on financial, legal, marital and health 20 days holiday (plus 8 bank holidays) Eyecare vouchers – via Specsavers Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Who we are: IWS Water Hygiene (WH), is part of SSI Services (UK) Ltd, a division of South Staffordshire Plc.
