Your responsibilities and tasks:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to lead our Separation business within the Separation & Flow Technologies (SFT) division in the UK. This role can be based anywhere in the UK, with travel as required to meet clients, partners, and internal teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and leading a team to drive growth and market penetration.
Sales Strategy Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the separation sector.
Route-to-Market Optimization: Analyse current Route-to-Market and identify opportunities to optimize internally and in collaboration with third parties, such as agents, distributors, or engineering companies.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and proactivity.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable plans.
Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and engineering teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market demands.
Communication: Ensure seamless communication with sales and project teams, promoting a strong "One Team" ethos to support company goals.
Realizing Synergies: Identify collaboration and cross-selling potentials not only within the SFT division but also across other divisions, leveraging these to drive the overall business for the company.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales KPIs, provide regular reports to senior management, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
Your profile and qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales management within the industry, ideally in separation and flow technologies.
Negotiation: Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with customers.
Change Management: Proven experience driving and supporting change initiatives.
Leadership: Strong track record of leading, mentoring, and developing successful sales teams.
Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of separation applications in industrial processes.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret and analyse complex data, market trends, and financial reports to inform strategic decision-making.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
IT Proficiency: Competent in CRM systems and skilled in the effective use of Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams.
Organisational Knowledge: Ability to gain a solid understanding of the GEA matrix structure, leverage networking opportunities across all divisions, and apply them effectively.
Mobility: Willingness to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
