About the Role
As a Hire and Sales Coordinator , you will play a key role in delivering a seamless customer experience. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Duties Acting as the first point of contact for incoming customer enquiries via phone and email
Handling the full hire process from initial request and equipment selection to order processing and off-hire management
Providing accurate information on product availability, hire rates, delivery times, and technical specifications
Coordinating with logistics, drivers, engineers, and other depots to ensure timely delivery and collection of equipment
Maintaining accurate hire records and updating internal systems
Building strong relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring repeat business
Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products and services
Resolving customer queries, issues, or complaints efficiently and professionally
Supporting depot colleagues with administrative tasks and general branch operations
Contributing to stock checks, yard organisation, and equipment control where necessary
Ensuring compliance with company health & safety standards and environmental responsibilities

What You Need A strong customer focus with the ability to build rapport quickly
Confidence handling multiple enquiries at once while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to use initiative when making decisions or problem-solving
A collaborative approach, supporting colleagues to maintain a positive workplace culture
Drive to maximise commercial opportunities
Ability to support the business unit in delivering our ESG Strategy Decade to Deliver
Previous experience in hire, construction, plant, or a customer service environment is desirable but not essential full training is provided.
