Internal Sales Executive (Apprenticeship Scheme)

Responsibilities

Sales Support – Assist the sales team with administrative tasks, including preparing sales materials, administering the CRM system to ensure it is kept up to date, keeping internal CVs used in tenders up to date, coordinating attendance at supplier events, and producing reports etc.

Customer Service – Be the first line of contact for customers calling into the business and help resolve their queries efficiently.

Lead Generation – Support lead generation efforts by identifying and qualifying potential leads, scheduling appointments with the appropriate internal owner, follow up on inquiries, and maintain the ‘lead tracker’ report.

Customer Engagement – Develop and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients through various communication channels (phone calls, emails, meetings), and work with the wider sales team on performing necessary tasks .

Product Knowledge – Learn and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services and how they are designed into solutions, effectively communicating their benefits and features to customers.

Sales Reporting – Assist in the preparation of sales reports, tracking sales activities, and analysing performance metrics.

Sales Process – Ensure that sales process documentation is kept up to date and available to the wider team.

Training Participation – Actively participate in all training programs, workshops, and mentorship sessions to develop sales skills and knowledge.

Supplier Information – Ensure relevant information is available on our ‘Supplier Portal’, such as up-to-date Partner Certification etc.

Team Collaboration – Work closely with sales team members and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving sales targets and company objectives.

Due to the nature of the apprenticeship scheme, this role will develop over time and other responsibilities may be introduced.
