The company is seeking a driven and commercially focused Key Account Manager to join the team. This is a pivotal role responsible for managing existing customer relationships while driving new business opportunities across the food sector. The successful candidate will bring proven sales experience in caps, closures, or related packaging products and will thrive in a role split between business development (60%) and account management (40%).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue within the food packaging sector.Manage and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities, with a focus on caps and closures.Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions to meet customer requirements.Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy.Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account plans.Represent the company and wider group at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.Key Requirements:
Proven sales background in caps, closures, or related packaging products for the food industry.Strong business development skills with a track record of winning new accounts.Excellent account management and relationship-building skills.Commercially astute with the ability to negotiate at all levels.Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.Willingness to travel regularly to meet customers across the UK.What's On Offer:
