Our programmatic advertising platform team is looking for an experienced Manager for our Programmatic Consultants team to join Amazon Advertising's growing business based in Milan. Key Responsibilities
Navigate a high level of ambiguity: identify key business problems and present solutions to solve them. Take ownership of managing a team of Programmatic Consultants, including resource planning and driving success for the team’s customer category. Work tactically and strategically: determine the right strategy and where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome of the assigned category. Develop and apply analytical skills to work with data, develop new opportunity areas, track program metrics, and influence business decisions. Set goals and direction for the team, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision. Hire, develop, and lead a team of non-technical Programmatic Consultants. Operate with a deep understanding of technology and data, monitoring and managing a services organization to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality. Generate and implement big ideas to drive business improvement, innovation, and scale within the team and across the business as a whole. Anticipate bottlenecks, assess risks, mitigate issues, provide escalation management, and manage trade‑offs. Represent Amazon when meeting with senior executive teams from top customers and build long‑term strategic relationships.
A Day In The Life
Lead the frontline team tasked with enabling trading desk customers to be successful in using the Amazon DSP. Attend meetings with client leadership to review customer certification and support plans. Participate in calls with Ad Tech Sales stakeholders to determine strategy and coverage for specific accounts. Collaborate with Product and partner teams to review documents, propose feature upgrades, and influence roadmap prioritization. Conduct one‑on‑one sessions with direct reports to discuss career paths and new tool rollouts. Prepare weekly business review documents, presenting data‑driven insights and sparking discussion with leadership on wins and improvement areas.

Basic Qualifications
5+ total years of work experience. 2+ years of work experience with programmatic advertising in a consultative role. 3+ years of work experience managing frontline teams. Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers. Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to establish credibility and influence with technical and non‑technical business owners (mandatory English & Italian). Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations. Bachelor’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters/MBA preferred. 5+ years of work experience managing frontline teams. Technical and operational experience with programmatic advertising technologies (DSP, RTB, bid shading, machine learning optimization, ad verification, ad tracking, ad attribution, etc.). Advanced knowledge of DSP within ad platform architecture. Experience communicating goals and strategies to a team. Knowledge of AWS technologies. Experience with services or products within the ad technology or programmatic advertising space. Applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation.
