We are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Meeting & Event Sales Office Manager to lead our high-performing Meetings & Events (M&E) Sales team at the Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington.

About the Role
As Meeting & Event Sales Office Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of our M&E Sales Office, leading a team of M&E Sales Executives to drive revenue growth across meetings, conferences, and social events.
Working closely with the Head of MICE Sales, you will set strategic sales plans, develop new business opportunities, and maximise revenue from our existing client base. You will be responsible for ensuring every enquiry is handled professionally, every event is delivered flawlessly, and every guest leaves wanting to return.
This is a role where sales leadership meets operational excellence you will inspire your team, exceed targets, and help shape the future of our M&E offering.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate the M&E Sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets for Rooms, Food & Beverage, and ancillary services.
Manage the complete sales process from enquiry to post-event follow-up, ensuring exceptional service and maximising upsell opportunities.
Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to attract new business and grow existing accounts.
Conduct regular market analysis, track competitor activity, and identify new revenue streams.
Maintain excellent relationships with key clients and represent the hotel at networking events, exhibitions, and show rounds.
Work collaboratively with Operations, Reservations, and F&B to ensure seamless event delivery and client satisfaction.
Ensure all systems, procedures, and documentation meet brand standards, particularly Opera Sales & Catering.
Monitor team performance, provide training and development, and foster a culture of excellence.
About You
Were looking for a confident, commercially minded leader who can balance the demands of sales performance, people management, and guest satisfaction.
You will have:
Proven experience in M&E or Conference & Banqueting Sales within a hotel or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team to success.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
A proactive, results-driven approach with a passion for exceeding targets.
Strong knowledge of event planning processes, sales systems (ideally Opera Sales & Catering), and market trends.
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences.
