This role combines face-to-face and telephone sales with occasional UK and international travel.

You will be part of the team spearheading revenue growth for Interplas – the UK’s cutting-edge event dedicated to plastics innovation, sustainable manufacturing, and the latest industry advancements. Your efforts will reconnect global innovators, suppliers, and manufacturers with the foremost brands and thought leaders in the sector.

By leveraging your robust sales acumen and extensive B2B events experience, you’ll ensure that Interplas remains the must-attend event for industry professionals navigating this dynamic landscape.

You'll be selling a mix of exhibition space and sponsorship packages designed to maximise exposure and return on investment for our partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Drive and exceed revenue targets by delivering strategic, need-based sales proposals that clearly communicate the unique value proposition of Interplas.
  • New Business Development: Prospect, engage, and close new business opportunities within the plastics sector.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and industry expert.
  • Develop custom packages that address individual client needs, ensuring maximum impact and visibility at Interplas.
  • Work closely with internal teams to guarantee the seamless execution and delivery of campaigns.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends and competitor activities, identifying opportunities to reconnect with major brands and innovate our approach.
  • Deliver accurate monthly forecasts and pipeline updates to the leadership team.
  • Represent Interplas at key exhibitions, trade shows, and client meetings across the UK and internationally.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven B2B Event Sales Experience. Demonstrated success in selling sponsorships, exhibition space, or advertising within trade events, ideally within tech or manufacturing sectors.
  • Consistent history of exceeding sales targets and driving significant revenue growth.
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations and articulate how Interplas can drive industry impact.
  • Skilled at building rapport and delivering consultative, solution-based pitches that align with client objectives.
  • A strategic thinker with the foresight to spot business expansion opportunities in a fast-evolving industry.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and digital platforms to stay ahead in an innovation-driven environment.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven setting with the flexibility to adapt quickly.
  • Ready to attend client meetings, trade shows, and industry events both domestically and abroad.
